Romanian: Journalist assaulted by gendarmes, in protest: “Stupid hell, who made you come take pictures?”

Journalist Ioana Moldovan reported that she was assaulted by gendarmes at Friday’s protest, although she had press theophanic in her hand, and that they used vulgar language. It all happened after he criticised that he got a jet of tear gas in his face.

About some gendarmes and how we arrived last night at SMURD: After the gendarmerie evacuated the victory market with tear gas, I was with a group of protesters who took refuge on Buzeşti. At one point, another gendarmes device emerged from a side street and encircled them. Seeing the gendarmes running, I raised my hands up, the device in one hand and the press theophaniced in the other. I was alone in that area, “said Ioana Moldovan.

She also said that she approached a gendarme, who gave her tear gas and cursed her.

“From a small group of gendarmes next to me, one approached and gave me a jet of gas from the cylinder directly into the eye from a distance of a few centimeters. I couldn’t see much. By passing them, I said:-You gave me a direct eye.

The answer came from one of them:

-“And what did you want to do? Damn, who made you come and take pictures? ”

While I was trying to get away from them as quickly as possible, I heard the voice of the constable that kept cursing me, “the journalist added.

“I crossed the market and arrived at SMURD, where they treated my face burn. The burn on my hand didn’t even feel it then. Huge RESPECT for the SMURD, both for the help of yesterday’s night and for all the work they do. Thank you all for the messages of concern, I am well now, “said Ioana Moldovan.
