The Academy of Sciences of Moldova announces that, in the context of the working visit to the Republic of Moldova by Prof. Sir Peter Gluckman, President of the International Scientific Council (ISC), and Dr. Salvatore Aricò, Director General of ISC, on April 16, 2026, in the Azurie Hall, starting at 2:00 PM, two public lectures of high academic standard will be held.

Prof. Sir Peter Gluckman will deliver the lecture titled ‘Repositioning Science in an Uncertain and Fractured World?’.
Dr. Salvatore Aricò will present the report ‘The International Scientific Council: Science in Action in a Continuously Evolving and Uncertain Context’

The event is part of the cooperation between the Academy of Sciences of Moldova and the International Scientific Council, having particular significance for strengthening international scientific dialogue and for promoting the role of science in contemporary society.
Members of the scientific and academic community, as well as all interested parties, including experts involved in the development of policies in scientific research and related fields, are invited.
The event is open to media representatives.
