Comprehensive force support exercise to provide an opportunity to hold the Center-2015 command-and-staff exercise consistently

Chief of the General Staff — First Deputy Defence Minister of the Russian Armed Forces General of the Army Valery Gerasimov stated that the finished comprehensive force support exercise will provide an opportunity to hold the Center-2015 command-and-staff exercise consistently.

According to Valery Gerasimov, the command and control posts were projected to long distances during the exercise. The exercise is finished with inspection of cooperation between the units.

Chief of the General Staff said that force control units gain a lot of experience during such special exercises. In the end, the Center-2015 exercise is to be held consistently in September.

General of the Army Valery Gerasimov noted that preparing the complex support exercise the control bodies took into account experience gained during military conflicts of last two decades.

Chief of the General Staff stated that the forces have practiced all types of support: reconnaissance, masking, electronic warfare, communications, logistics and psychology supply. Engineer, NBC protection and military doctors performed training tasks.

“This is absolutely useful exercise,” stressed General of the Army Valery Gerasimov.
