Technical Working Group on durable solutions for displaced from Kosovo met to take process forward

PRISHTINË/PRIŠTINA, 1 September 2015 – Measures crucial to advance durable solutions for displaced persons from Kosovo were at the focus of a technical working group meeting organized in Prishtinё/Priština today by the OSCE Mission in Kosovo and supported by the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).

Participants from Belgrade, Prishtinё/Priština and Podgorica discussed practical measures to address issues affecting property rights, personal documentation, security, and data management, in order to support returns and other durable solutions for displaced persons from Kosovo.

These measures will be further elaborated and subsequently proposed for endorsement by the high-level political forum scheduled to take place in late September in Montenegro.

Today’s technical working group meeting, and the earlier preparatory technical working group meeting organized in Prishtinё/Priština in July 2015, are a continuation of the process initiated at the OSCE high-level conference held in Skopje in November 2014. Participants in the process are institutional representatives from Belgrade, Prishtinё/Priština, Podgorica and Skopje.
