Units and formations of the Baltic Fleet coastal defence troops are moving to the ranges of the Kaliningrad region in the course of the Union Shield – 2015 joint exercise.
During the marching, servicemen are practicing passing of contaminated area, repelling attacks of sabotage groups and aviation of the simulated enemy.
After the marching, the servicemen will start equipping and masking positions and deploying command and control posts.
In total, more than 1,500 servicemen, up to 20 ships, more than 10 aircraft and approximately 200 pieces of combat and special hardware are involved in the Union Shield 2015 exercise.
