The award in the nomination “Courage and honour” was received by Commander of an air squadron of the 12th Guards Military Transport Air Division of the Aerospace Forces Lieutenant Colonel Alexey Kremenchukov for his personal act of valour in December 2014, when he had managed to land a plane without two engines. He saved lives of people onboard and the aircraft. Together with the Russian Defence Minister, the nominee was congratulated by the Hero of the Soviet Union, Chairman of the Russian Union of Airborne Colonel-General Valery Vostrotin.
The laureates of the festival are awarded a commemorative token with the inscription “The best”, which is a star made of tempered glass.
The Festival takes place in front of the building of the National Centre for State Defence Control.
