In the course of the command-and-staff exercise with Yoshkar-Ola missile formation of the Strategic Missile Forces held in the Mari El Republic under the leadership of the SMF Commander, engineer elements detected and defused training mines along the routes of the land-based mobile missile systems Topol.

Mining of roads was effectuated by engineer units imitating sabotage groups of imaginary enemy.

According to the scenario, to prevent missile units from maneuvering, sabotage groups blew up a bridge, while the second one does not allow the heavy materiel to pass due to transverse cracks.

To provide further advance of the columns, a heavy mechanized bridge TMM-3 was installed.

Approaching to the field positions, the units detected an illegal armed group. It was blocked by mobile mine-laying units equipped with universal minelayers by making a mine field, the length of which reached 1 km

  1. Thank you for the sensible critique. Me and my neighbor were just preparing to do some research about this. We got a grab a book from our area library but I think I learned more clear from this post. I am very glad to see such magnificent information being shared freely out there.
