New submarine Rostov-on-Don carried out missile launches in the Barents Sea

Today diesel-electric submarine (project 636.3) Rostov-on-Don has successfully performed combat firings using Kalibr cruise missiles from underwater position at coastal targets located at the Chizha range (Arkhangelsk Region).

Missile launching is one of the elements of trial programme of the new diesel-electric submarines built for the Black Sea Fleet.

After the trials, the Rostov-on-Don submarine will go to the permanent base at the Black Sea Fleet.
