Protecting investigative journalism: Council of Europe Secretary General Jagland in Norway for conference on investigative journalism on 8 October

Council of Europe Secretary General Thorbjørn Jagland will attend the Global Investigative Journalism Conference, hosted by the Norwegian Association for Critical and Investigative Press (SKUP), and participate in the session “How can we better protect investigative journalists” on 8 October. Mr Jagland will present the Council of Europe´s work to promote freedom of expression and its online Platform to promote the protection of journalism and safety of journalists.

The conference is the world´s largest international gathering of investigative reporters, bringing together  860 participants from 121 countries.
