Opening for signature of an additional protocol on Foreign Terrorist Fighters

The additional protocol to the Council of Europe Convention for the prevention of terrorism, intended to address the problem of ‘foreign terrorist fighters’ will be opened for signature at an international conference.

The signing ceremony will begin at 9.30 a.m., in the presence of Edgars Rinkēvičs, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia, the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Thorbjørn Jagland, and Igor Crnadak, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina in his capacity as Chair of the Council of Europe’s Committee of Ministers.

A press conference is scheduled at 10.45 am.
