OPEC: Response to recent Reuters’ articles

Vienna, Austria, 5 November 2015–This week the Reuters news agency has published two articles on OPEC’s unfinished Long-Term Strategy (LTS).

The stories, which are published without bylines, make reference to an incomplete draft version of OPEC’s LTS, an annex to that report and cite unnamed sources.

The OPEC Secretariat hereby states that it is disappointed that Reuters has chosen to publish extracts from, and comments on, a document that is from an unofficial source and one that is still under process. The document remains under review by all OPEC Member Countries.
