The Eastern MD fighter wing, based at the Primorye Centralnaya Uglovaya airfield, has completed the multidimensional and supermanoeuverable Su-30 SM and the “4++” generation SU-35S transition training.
During the year 2016, the fighter wing is expected to be reequipped with new airplanes, replacing Su-27SM.
In addition, the aviation unit is to receive three multidimensional fighters-interceptors Mig-31BM. The Mig-31BM effectiveness is now 2.6 higher than Mig-31’s due to the new avionics and armaments.
