JFC Naples members make history while taking part in the A400M “Atlas” first ever NATO mission. The A400M was operated by the Royal Air Force and is an expansion of NATO’s current air transportation capabilities.

On 7 December, a Strategic Airlift Capability (SAC) C-17 cargo jet carried out an airdrop of heavy engineer equipment in support of exercise Dagger Resolve. At the request of SAC member nation the United States, a heavy-duty dump truck and a bulldozer from the 54th Brigade Engineer Battalion, 173rd Airborne Brigade were transported to Hohenfels Training Area Drop Zone in Germany.

Exercise TRIDENT JET ended Dec. 11, completing the final training for Headquarters NATO Allied Air Command (AIRCOM) to serve as a joint headquarters. The exercise ran Dec. 7 -11, providing senior leader and battle staff training in AIRCOM’s first vignette-based joint headquarters assessment.
