Military delegation of Saudi Arabia visited Military Academy of Logistics
Distinguished guests had a look at training equipment of the educational establishment, and had a meeting with command staff of the Academy. Foreign military servicemen also get education in the Academy.
Chief of the Military Academy Lieutenant General Vladimir Ivanovsky told the foreign partners about educational programmes and specializations for training foreign military servicemen.
The delegation has also visited exposition complex of the Academy and the distinguished guests familiarized themselves with the history of the educational establishment, scientific developments, modern equipment and hardware samples.

Participants of the Russian-Belarusian joint conference assessed effectiveness of newest air defence systems S-300, Pantsyr-S, Tor-M2U, and Osa at the Telemba specialized training complex.
In course of bilateral tactic exercise, crews of air defence systems detected, locked on, and tracked different types of aircraft of the simulated enemy.
Crews and pilots of fighters, attack aircraft and strike helicopters of the Eastern MD acted as aviation of the simulated enemy. All aircraft practiced stealth penetration of the air defence zone by flying at extreme low altitudes.
In total, 2 Su-30SM, 2 Su-25, 4 Mi-24 and more than 200 pieces of military and special hardware, including air defence systems were involved in the bilateral exercise.

ASW forces of the Northern Fleet searched for a conventional enemy submarine in the Barents Sea
Today a combat readiness exercise has been held in the Barents Sea by the anti-submarine forces of the Northern Fleet.
According to the scenario, a foreign submarine has been detected in proximity to the territorial waters of the Russian Federation.
An IL-38 aircraft from the airbase of the NF Air Force and Air Defence Army as well as Yunga and Snezhnogorsk small-sized ASW ships of the Kola flotilla were sent to the assigned zone for task performance. The exercise also involved other forces of the Northern fleet which perform combat training tasks in the Barents Sea.
The main objective of the exercise was to check the readiness of servicemen to perform alert missions. Such unannounced combat readiness inspections of the Northern Fleet alert forces are held regularly.

Two motorized rifle brigades will hold a tactical exercise in the Primorsky Krai
Two motorized rifle brigades will hold a tactical exercise at the Sergeyevsky range in the Primorsky Krai on April 14.
Artillery crews will make a massive strike against single and multiple targets of conventional enemy firing self-propelled howitzers Gvozdika, Akatsiya, cannons Giztsint and self-propelled mortars Tulpan.
Then a head-on combat will be practiced by both formations, which will involve tank and aviation units.
Over 2000 servicemen and about 200 pieces of artillery armament will take part in the training activities.

Reconnaissance units of the Central MD have performed diversionary actions behind the simulated enemy lines during an exercise in the Kemerovo Region.
Before that the servicemen had been put on alert and marched to the range of Yurga.
After detection of fire means and unveiling the intentions of the enemy the reconnaissance men started a diversionary combat.
They rendered out of operation a communication centre, performing a raid on an HQ; that allowed the main body of troops to advance in the neighbouring combat sector.
During the final stage of the exercise the servicemen effectuated transporting of “wounded” soldiers to the LZ.
The training activities involved over 400 men.
First training of parade columns to take place in Yekaterinburg
Today the first training of parade columns is to take place in Yekaterinburg.
Drivers will practice maintaining the permanent distances and speeds.
This year about 100 pieces of military hardware will take part in the military parade – T-72BA, self-propelled howitzers Msta-S, tactical missile complexes Iskander-M, MLRS Uragan, air defence systems S-300, Buk.
