Reconciliation of the opposing sides

Within last 24 hours, truce agreements with representatives of two inhabited areas in the Homs province have been achieved.

The total number of inhabited areas, the leaders of which had signed reconciliation agreements, has reached 142.

Negotiations on joining ceasefire regime have been continued with field commanders of armed opposition detachments active in the Damascus, Hama and al-Quneitra provinces.

The number of ceasefire application forms signed with leaders of armed groupings has remained 60.

Results of ceasefire monitoring

The ceasefire has been observed in most provinces of the Syrian Arab Republic. Within last 24 hours, 3 ceasefire violations have been registered in the Damascus province.

Jaysh al-Islam formations, which had claimed to belong to the opposition, have performed mortar shelling of positions of the Syrian Armed in Arbil inhabited area and twice – against the Harasta al-Bansal village.

Russian Aerospace Forces and Syrian Air Force did not make strikes on opposition armed formations, which follow ceasefire regime and informed the Russian or American Centres for reconciliation about their location.

Humanitarian aid to the population of Syria

Humanitarian convoys for the population of Syria are being formed.

Citizens of Mesherfa (Homs province) and Kafr Aqid (Hama province) inhabited areas have received 4 tons of humanitarian cargos. Food products and sweets for children are the basis of the cargos.

“Silence regime”, which had been established until 12 p.m. June 11 in Fuah and Kafr Khaya (Idlib province), Zebedani and Madaya (Damascus province), has been continued.

Within last 24 hours, terrorists have shelled Rasha and Qellaz (Latakia province), Maharda (Hama province), Blelije, Haush Harabu, and Marj Sultan (Damascus province), and positions of the Syrian Armed Forces near Ashrafiya and Ard al-Jaburin (Homs province).

In the Aleppo province, Handrat and Khalasa inhabited areas, Sheikh Maqsood and Meidan quarters, al-Nairab airport, and territory of the artillery military school located in al-Ramusi quarter have been shelled with MLRS and mortars.

As a result of nonselective night shelling of Sheikh Maqsood quarter, one child was killed, and 8 civilians were wounded. Five living buildings were damaged.

According to civilians, large armed formations of Ahrar al-Sham grouping and Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists are being concentrated near Bshantara and Kfar Besin. Movement of armored hardware and heavy trucks has been also registered from settlements of Dar Taiz, Jabal Kabtan, Baitarun to the region of al-Zahraa.

In Ansar inhabited area (southern suburbs of Aleppo), units of the Syrian Armed Forces have successfully repelled attacks of terrorists’ armed formations.

Admiral Grigorovich newest frigate of the Black Sea Fleet arrived in Sevastopol

Admiral Grigorovich newest frigate arrived in Sevastopol after interfleet transfer from the Baltic to the Black Sea Fleet. It is the first ship of distant naval zone, which the Fleet had received during last 35 years.

Crew under command of Captain II rank Anatoly Velichko completely finished the programme of state trials and the flag of the Russian Navy was raised on May 11.

Admiral Grigorovich came out of the Baltiysk on April 29. During being in permanent grouping of Navy in the Mediterranean Sea, the ship confirmed its readiness for carrying out tasks in the sea as well as committed business visit on the island of Malta.

Russian military medics came back to Russia from Palmyra

Two Il-76 transport aircraft, which had taken off from the Hmeymim airbase, have landed in Khabarovsk and delivered equipment and personnel of the Russian military hospital. The hospital was performing tasks in Palmyra since the middle of April 2016.

Fifty military medics, who were providing medical support to combined detachment of the International Mine Action Centre of the Russian Armed Forces as well as qualified assistance to Syrian military servicemen and citizens in Palmyra for 1.5 months, have arrived in Russia.

Russian military hospital was installed near Palmyra on April 18. The hospital contained departments of surgery and internal medicine, anesthesiology and reanimation, dental department, department of laboratory diagnosis, X-ray examination, and additional units.

In total, the Russian medics have provided medical assistance to more than 200 patients, most of them – civilians returning to their houses after enforced escape. The medics have also held 10 surgery operations for heavily injured Syrian soldiers, and more than 20 patients have passed medical treatment course.

Returning of the Russian medical personnel is caused by withdrawal of combined detachment of the International Mine Action Centre of the Russian Armed Forces, which had completed mine clearing tasks in Palmyra and its suburbs. A medical post with 11 Russian military medical specialists continues operating in liberated territories.

Caspian Flotilla started command-and-staff training

The Caspian Flotilla has started command-and-staff training among its formations and military units.

More than 1000 servicemen, 20 warships, motor boats and auxiliary ships as well as over 50 pieces of military and special hardware are involved in the training activities. Exercise is held according to the Training plan of the Caspian Flotilla in 2016.

Command and control bodies, formations and military units practise alert activities during preparation of warships for sorties and armament usage.
