Angela L. Byers, special agent in charge of the Cincinnati Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), announced today that fugitive Mekahale Lamb, 31, of Cincinnati, was arrested this afternoon.

Lamb was taken into custody without incident by the FBI Cincinnati Division’s SWAT team and members of the Safe Streets Task Force around 1:45 p.m. in Columbus, Ohio.

On May 18, 2016, a federal arrest warrant was issued by the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio after Lamb was charged federally with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute heroin and distribution of heroin.

An indictment merely contains allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
