Stabbing a 13-year-old girl to death while she slept marks a despicable new low in brutality. No religion, political conflict or personal frustration justifies the deliberate murder of a sleeping child.
All those in positions of responsibility in the region must help to tackle the hatred in people’s minds and to defend the fundamental values of humanity.
