I really wonder what cherries are really there for the UK to pick? Do the 27 want to continue to sell without tariffs to the UK? If so, we can ask for the corresponding right in return. If not, then tariffs apply in both directions. Just like the greater part of our export trade right now.
Could the UK do without German cars, French wine and cheese, Danish bacon … ? It will be hard but I think we’ll manage. So stick your cherries where the sun won’t shine.
