Like, I am sure, many people in Germany, I am shocked by the attacks in London. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families, but also with the entire British population.

It is probably no coincidence that this attack was carried out near the British Parliament; it was thus intended to strike right at the heart of our democracies. For that reason, it is an attack against each and every one of us.

Our friends in the United Kingdom have our complete solidarity and our sympathy.‎
