 THE HAGUE ,

The Council of Europe on 26 and 27 September held a meeting of the 24/7 Network of Contact Points at EUROPOL, The Hague.  Fifty-five representatives of contact points of 45 current and future Parties to the Budapest Convention from all regions of the world shared best practices in view of further enhancing the role and effectiveness of the network.

The Network has been established under Article 35 of the Budapest Convention on Cybercrime.

The meeting was supported by capacity building projects implemented by the Cybercrime Programme Office of the Council of Europe (C-PROC), and preceded the annual EUROPOL/INTERPOL conference on cybercrime.
