
The President of Romania prepares the decree of revocation of Chief Prosecutor ( DNA) Laura Codruta Kovesi following the decision of the Constitutional Court of Romania.

The CCR issued a press release showing President Klaus Iohannis the way forward after today’s decision:
“The President of Romania is to issue the decree of revocation of the chief prosecutor of DNA,” forward CCR.
“The court, by majority of votes, held:
- Ascertained the existence of a legal conflict of constitutional nature between the Minister of Justice and the President of Romania, generated by the President of Romania’s refusal to take up the proposal for revocation from the Office of the Chief Prosecutor of the National Directorate Anticorruption, Mrs. Laura Codruta Kovesi.

The President of Romania is to issue the decree of revocation from the Office of the Chief Prosecutor of the National Anticorruption Directorate, Mrs. Laura Codruta Kovesi.
The decision is definitive and generally binding and is communicated, according to art. 36 of the Law No. 47/1992, the President of Romania, Prime Minister of the Government of Romania and Minister of Justice and published in the Official Gazette of Romania, part I.
The arguments withheld in motivating the solution pronounced by the plenary of the Constitutional Court will be presented in the decision, which will be published in the Official Gazette of Romania, part I “, Forward CCR.
