2019 arrives and what will change în our world I ask? Will our world become a better, safer more humane place to live în? Will our streets become safer and will we all aș God’s children appreciate that we are equals on earth indifferent if you are the President of your Country, Director of a multinational company or a manual farm worker or person with no fixed address living rough on the streets.
În 2018 its clear that many did not recognise themselves aș equals to all others by their actions, take the amount of fatal stabbings în London for instance în which lives were lost by the hands of those who showed no respect for even basic humanity. Likewise the number of mass killings în US again showed a total break down în the basics of life values amongst those who commited such horrific crimes. Life values based on human factors including love and understanding of all peoples must come back to the forefront if we aș humans are to enjoy life together without fear în 2019 I feel.

In todays world we can all have a good life, a place to work with good salary, nice house with lovely wife and children, lush foreign holiday every year and business perks, bonuses and other benefits like the company car and tomorrow we can end up on the streets homeless and begging for food! Not possible you will say, no way.
Ah well just stop and think aș if you loose well paid your job, maybe through no fault of your own, a stock market issue forces redundancies at your work place, sudden death of your employer and the business is sold to a rival who cuts jobs including yours, A public health issue that affects trade and closes the factory you work at.
Oh there are so many ways you can în todays world loose your job and all the perks of a good life and if you have a mortgage on your property and are unable to pay you can also loose your home and then you are on the streets and în dire trouble aș no one will re employ without a fixed address.
I wonder then în 2019 if many of you aș în 2018 and the years before will still look down on the homeless one aș a beggar or if you will at least show some humanity and take a few minutes to inter-connect with that person at your feet în front of you, even better to sit with them so you are at equal level and show you are interested.
Maybe to purchase them a hot drink, why not both have a coffee aș you sit and chat and în showing interest gain trust that can lead to many possibilities over time to help that person including at a street Church based center where their life can take an upward turn which could lead to accomodation în time of a more permanant nature and a job, even if part time that would bring that person back into society where they are meeting others, making new friends and aquantances and gaining some well earned funds aș well.
That to me is showing humanity and is what is needed to be at the forefront în 2019 aș we all need someone at sometime în our lives to help us too! After all we are all equals în life and deserve the same respect.
Finally will 2019 see less people killed in armed conflict, war situations. I hope so as clearly its woman, children and old aged who suffer the most in all wars created by governments who do not take the public view all too often into account, despite the public being most at risk in any war.
Look at the horrific situation in Syria after years of war and now the US simply pulls out and the Syrian president stays in power now as in 2014 when he was elected with over 88% of the votes, but it will take generations to rebuild Syria again.
All who died in this war like in all wars will have a headstone if not now eventually and will be remembered, but how much greater it would have been if there had been no war thus allowing all the dead to be alive and with their families today, now that would have been humanity at its best!
There are reports of chemical attacks on both the government and other sides who played a part in this war and this just shows to me how worthless human life has become especially in war situations. Lets hope that in 2019 peace can take a priority and allow Countries to step back into humanity and allow their peoples to live in peace without fear either within or from outside!!

Freedom is a basic human right, but not for all in todays world and I pray that this again reverses so that each individual can live without fear of death of torture either physical or mental in our World. This was not the case for Jamal Khashoggi a Saudi citizen who was murdered on a visit to the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul, Turkey on the 2nd of October 2018.
The cover up that took place was in fact comical if not serious by the Saudi authorities in Sadia Arabia, who clearly instructed at a very high level the assassination of Jamal Khashoggi and humanity also lacked via the US president when he failed to act stating Saudia Arabia a good trading partner with arms!!!
Low low have we all become when this happens and even today there is no return to Turkey via any arrest of those who quickly fled with diplomatic protection back home after the assassination. In communist times people by the millions were monitored and controlled, but now in the free world we must be allowed to live in freedom.
Courts of law are the option of a civilised society if a person speaks on a subject that causes concern to others, not assassinations or torture as was used against Jamal Khoshaggi.
2019 can be a year when saying Happy New year really means that if we all show more tolerance and humanity towards others and if we take that road we will all benefit in a better safer lifestyle.
