Battersea stabbing: Two men arrested after teenager is killed near Prince George’s school

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a teenager was fatally stabbed in Battersea, close to Prince George’s primary school.

Paramedics in London worked desperately to save the 19-year-old but he was declared dead at the scene yesterday evening.

A 19-year-old and a 27-year-old man were arrested after going to a central London hospital.

They have both now been taken to separate London police stations for questioning.

Metropolitan Police officers were called to Wolsey Court, off Westbridge Road, at 7.52pm to reports of a stabbing. The London Ambulance Service also attended.

The victim was found with stab injuries and sadly declared dead at 8.36pm.

Next of kin have been informed, Scotland Yard said in a statement.

Metropolitan Police said today: “A crime scene remains in place. The Homicide and Major Crime Command has been informed.

“A post-mortem examination will be held in due course. Formal identification awaits

“Enquiries into the circumstances continue.

“Any witnesses and anyone with information concerning this stabbing is urged to call police on 101 quoting CAD 6767/5Feb or tweet @MetCC.
