The Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry “Petru Poni” has completed the implementation of the project “Partnerships for knowledge transfer in the field of polymer materials used in biomedical engineering”, POINGBIO, Contract no.86/08.09.2016, ID P_40_443, SMIS Code 105689, period 08.09.2016- 07.09.2022, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund through the Competitiveness Operational Program 2014-2020, Axis 1 Research, Technological Development and Innovation (RDI) in support of competitiveness Economic and Business Development, Action 1.2.3 Partnerships for knowledge transfer.

The total value of the project is 15,808,797.29 lei out of which the total eligible non-reimbursable financing is 13,050,370.06 lei.
The overall objective of the project was to increase the economic competitiveness of the partner enterprises in the period 2016-2022, following the transfer of knowledge aimed at scientific and technological expertise in the design and realization of multifunctional polymer systems, which can stimulate a specific biological response and which allow the accession and proliferation of a certain type of cells, depending on the tissue to be treated.
Results obtained: Signing of 11 subsidiary contracts through the de minimis aid and state aid scheme with 7 small and medium-sized enterprises for type B, C, and D activities, as follows: •S.C. Medical Center Domenico S.R.L. Iasi •S.C. Sanimed International Impex S.R.L. Bucharest •S.C. Polymer Adhesive Tapes S.R.L. Bucharest •S.C. Intelectro Iaşi S.R.L. • S.C. All Green S.R.L. Iaşi •S.C. Apel Laser S.R.L. Bucharest •S.C. Innovative Green Power S.R.L. Iaşi. Publication of 40 scientific papers together with the partner enterprises, as a result of the contracts with them. Publication of 5 patent applications together with the partner enterprises, as a result of the contracts with them.
