A Chicago jury reached a decision on Wednesday in R. Kelly’s federal trial after beginning its deliberations on Tuesday. The deliberations followed weeks of testimony. The R&B singer was convicted of several child pornography and sex abuse charges, The Associated Press reports. He was acquitted on one child pornography and a conspiracy to obstruct justice charge. The rapper was found not guilty on all three counts of conspiring to receive child pornography and for two further enticement charges. Former associates Derrel McDavid and Milton “June” Brown were also found not guilt on all charges after being accused of trying to bribe and threaten witnesses in the 2008 Illinois child pornography case in which R. Kelly was acquitted. Content warning: This timeline consists of live-updating Tweets which may include sensitive content from this developing news story.
