NATO Secretary General meets President of Serbia to discuss challenges in northern Kosovo NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg met President Aleksandar Vučić of Serbia in Brussels on Wednesday (19 July 2023) in order to discuss tensions in northern Kosovo. Mr Stoltenberg called the recent violence against KFOR peacekeepers unacceptable, underlining that KFOR has deployed 500 additional troops to Kosovo and stands ready to act as necessary, in line with its UN mandate. He underlined that all parties must prevent any renewed escalation, and engage constructively in the EU-facilitated dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina. |

NATO Defense College Change of Command and Senior Course Graduation On 13 July 2023, Admiral Rob Bauer, Chair of the NATO Military Committee visited the NATO Defense College (NDC) in Rome, Italy. Invited as a guest of honour, and welcomed with a Military Honour Guard, Admiral Bauer delivered keynote addresses for the dual celebrations of the Change of Command and the Senior Course 142 Graduation. The Change of Command saw Lieutenant General Olivier Rittimann, French Armed Forces, transfer command of the NATO Defense College over to Lieutenant General Max A.L.T Nielsen, Danish Armed Forces. The event was attended by several Allied Ambassadors, the Danish Chief of Defence General Lentfer and the Commander of Joint Force Command Norfolk, Vice Admiral Dwyer. |

''We stand with you in your courageous struggle for freedom and sovereignty,'' NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg said welcoming President Zelensky, urging NATO Allies to keep up and further expand their support to help Ukraine liberate its land and deter future aggression. |

Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania strengthen airspace cooperation At the margins of the NATO Summit in Vilnius on Tuesday (11 July 2023), Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania signed a Declaration of Cooperation on cross-border airspace. The relevant Allied civil and military authorities will establish and use suitable airspace volumes for NATO training and exercises, and other air activities within the Baltic region. |
