Felix Goldbach will perform at the invitation of the famous Gheorghe Zamfir at the International Nai Festival “Gheorghe Zamfir” in Gaesti, between August 18-20, 2023. Honored by the invitation to sing with my good friend and colleague at university, at the great international panflute festival that bears his name. The event takes place between August 18-20, 2023, in Gaesti, and on August 19, I expect you to see us and hear us sing together again.
Gheorghe Zamfir International Music Foundation, together with Gaesti City Hall and Dambovita County Council, organize the fifth edition of the Gheorghe Zamfir International Nai Festival, which will take place in Gaesti, Dambovita County, between August 18-20, 2023. The event transforms the hometown of the famous musician Gheorghe Zamfir into a cultural hub where classical music, folklore, symphonic pop, recitals and unique moments with surprise guests will take place.
Among the invited international artists are: Vasile Iovu – People’s Artist (Republic of Moldova), Aydin Yavas (Turkey), Kim Juhyeong (South Korea) and Jean-Luc Faraux (France).
Also on the stage of the International Nai Festival “Gheorghe Zamfir”: tenor Alin Stoica, Mihail Dogotari, Rodica Gabriela Anghelescu, Marta Claudia Baceanu Tudor, Stelu Enache, Cazanoi Brothers, Radu Nechifor, Gelu Voicu, Mădălina Bourceanu, Claudia Diaconu Iordache, Felix Goldbach, Ruxandra Pitulice, Gheorghe Rizea, Flavius Tinică, Vasile Răducu, Cristina Gheorghiu, Mirel Bria, Daniela Ghiţă and Maria Mădălina Lupu.
The presenter will be the peerless Iuliana Tudor.
The invited artists will be accompanied by the “Fiddlers” Folk Orchestra from Chisinau, led by Master Nicolae Botgros and the Muntenia Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Master Conductor Daniel Jinga, together with the Transylvania National Ensemble.
Public access to the Central Park of Gaesti, at the events on August 19 and 20, 2023, will be free of charge.
Cultural project financed by the Ministry of Culture, in partnership with Gaesti City Hall, Dâmboviţa County Council and Dâmboviţa County Cultural Center.

On August 18, at 19:00, will take place the press conference marking the opening of the fifth edition of the International Nai Festival “Gheorghe Zamfir”. The conference will be followed by a panflute recital with piano, offered by the students of Master Gheorghe Zamfir. The event will take place at Gheorghe Zamfir Cultural Center on 13 Decembrie Street, nr. 178, Gaesti.
The second day of the Festival will be dedicated to pop-symphonic music and classical music, the show will take place on the stage in the Central Park, in the open air. The invited artists will be accompanied by the Muntenia Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Master Conductor Daniel Jinga.
Folklore lovers will also enjoy a Royal Folklore on the evening of Sunday, August 20, 2023, at 19:00, on the same stage in the Central Park, with the extraordinary participation of the “Fiddlers” Orchestra from Chisinau, conductor Nicolae Botgros.
Internationally renowned naist, composer, conductor, renowned musician, poet, painter and panflute maker, Gheorghe Zamfir is a symbol of Romania, a country brand we are proud of. Considered by the foreign press the most brilliant representative of national music in the world artistic landscape, the performer enjoyed surprising, even flattering qualifications: “The King of the Panflute” (Zurcher Oberlander), “The Genius of Pan’s Whistle” (La Chaus-de Fonds), “The Magician of Pan’s Whistle” (Impartial), “The New God of the Panflute” (Montreal Journal), “The Voivode of the Professionals of the Oral Tradition” (Literature and Art Magazine, Chisinau).
Exceptional instrumentalist, singular in the landscape of folk and classical panflute music, Gheorghe Zamfir dominated with his unmistakable personality the last decades of the twentieth century, his name becoming a living legend of the ancient and mythical instrument of Orpheic antiquity.
Undoubtedly, he made his essential contribution to the field of Romanian folklore (both lute and peasant) which he promoted to artistic parameters never yet touched.
