Four bodies have been recovered from a car which appears to have left the road in Garreg, near Tremadog, North Wales Police have said.
The teenagers embarked on a camping trip in Snowdonia on Sunday.
Teenagers were ‘searching for adventure’ on camping trip
Reporting from the scene in Garreg, Gwynedd, our North of England correspondent Shingi Mararike says the teenagers would have been “searching for adventure” before tragedy struck.
“A desperately sad end which has led to four bodies being recovered,” he says.
During a press conference earlier this evening, police confirmed that the four teenagers were planning to camp on Saturday and Sunday.
A large overnight police search was then launched to try to find them.
Mararike says in the last few moments he has seen a large vehicle heading towards where it is believed the Ford Fiesta was found in order to take it away.
