The media has been existentially misunderstood from the beginning. The concept of delivering images of characters, products,
stories, emotions, politics, religions and beliefs has divided the world until today everyone is stubborn and perhaps the fiercest enemies of mass media.
Transmitting information as news and revelations about corruption or becoming political or marketing are some very profitable directions for mass media trusts.
Today we ask ourselves: How is mass media useful to us? Some will say for information, others feel manipulated, others are simply not interested.
Would politics have to be removed from editorials and marketing to become bankrupt media? What is the selling power of news?
Academics have left theories about communication sciences, but is the practice surreal?
Without funding and the addition of political, corporate marketing, character creation and maintaining a state of affairs, the current media disappears.
International legal, national, and doctrinal regulations place the media as the experience of freedom of expression, and yet we find lawsuits in international courts against media outlets.
What does the media have to do in this case? Legal regulations are considered censorship or hostile environments in which the media exists.
What, after all, is freedom of speech if hatred is fostered by expression and manifestation only that we have the right to express our opinions and thoughts?
Social Media offers a good opportunity for study and vast knowledge of different cultures and individuals, we see very clearly the abuse of information and fake news that is quite easy due to the lack of information and interest of the public.
The lack of information can be the root of the success of fake news among readers.
Today we are witnessing a very dangerous state of affairs, namely the fact that out of silliness towards the mass media, people prefer something else, believe the SF told or rigged than trust the mass media.
The media is the daily culprit of reporting corruption, inefficiency, ugly things, absolutely everything except possible good because it would be labeled subservient.
No one has dared to rethink the media and perhaps rewrite its existence starting with philosophy, practice and existence.
Academia, thinkers and professionals together with employers should rethink and offer a new perspective to the journalistic profession, a renaissance of it and, why not, a clear perspective.
