Festive event at the Academy of Sciences of #Moldova: Totalization of the scientific year 2024#News247WorldPress

On December 19, 2024, in the Azurie Hall of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, a festive event dedicated to the totalization of the scientific year 2024 took place. The event, held in an atmosphere full of emotion and with a full hall, brought together outstanding scientists and cultural personalities, who were honored with diplomas and distinctions as a sign of high appreciation for their efforts and contributions throughout the year.

One by one, diplomas, medals, flowers were offered at the central tribune of the Azure Hall of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova and together with them, words of deep gratitude for work and dedication were spoken. The speeches highlighted the outstanding achievements of the scientific community in the Republic of Moldova in 2024, highlighting the contributions made to the development of knowledge and the promotion of cultural and scientific values.

The President of ASM, Acad. Ion Tighineanu thanked all those involved in the scientific activity for the dedication and perseverance they show, expressing his confidence that the next year will bring new important achievements.

The event was marked by the presence of the president of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, Professor Klaus Mainzer, who received from the Academy of Sciences of Moldova the “Dimitrie Cantemir” medal – one of the most prestigious distinctions of the institution. At the same time, Professor Constantin Rusnac, composer, secretary-general of the National Commission of the Republic of Moldova for UNESCO, handed President Mainzer the UNESCO medal for his contribution to the promotion of science and art. Prof. Mainzer was also congratulated by Dr. Nadejda Velișco, Secretary General of the Ministry of Education and Research.

Those present highly appreciated the organization of the event dedicated to the totalization of the scientific year, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between science, culture and the international community in the development of a society based on knowledge and innovation.
