Protesters at the pro-Georgescu rally at the CCR threw farts and pretzels at a Digi 24 journalist
who was broadcasting from the scene on Friday. Also, a group of people went to the area where
the live broadcasting teams of some television stations were located, in order to express their
dissatisfaction with the way they present certain information to the public.
“Calin Georgescu wants to prove that behind him there are people and not necessarily bots,”
sociologist Dan Jurcan told Euronews, specifying that the electoral campaign for the presidential elections has already begun.
“TikTok and Facebook-Instagram have played and will play an important role in manipulating the population,”
said political scientist Cristian Pîrvulescu, who spoke once again about the importance of these networks in the conduct of future elections.
Protest against protesters. UZPR condemned the aggressions against journalists at the rally of Calin Georgescu’s supporters at the CCR
“UZPR reminds the public opinion that lately the attacks on the press have intensified, which came from several directions, including
from extremist politicians, who brought unspeakable offenses and uttered threats against our colleagues, thus positioning themselves
on a direction that is not only antisocial and under the criminal legislation in Romania, but defying, through reprehensible acts, the right of the public.
