The Master of Pedagogical Thinking: The Life and Work of Ion Gagim

On February 6, the “Ion Creangă” State Pedagogical University hosted a special event,

dedicated to one of the most profound thinkers of the academic space in the Republic of Moldova.

Under the title “The Master of Pedagogical Thought: the Life and Work of Ion Gagim”, the

meeting brought to the fore the personality and work of Professor Ion Gagim, corresponding

member of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova.

The event brought together teachers, students and admirers of the renowned pedagogue, who expressed

their appreciation not only for his works, but also for his vision of education, metaphysical thought and the

deep dimensions of existence.

In a warm and reflective atmosphere, Professor Ion Gagim launched his new book,

“Education from Above and Education from Below”, a work that challenges readers to reflect on the fundamental

questions of life: “Who am I? What is my vocation?” Written with intellectual finesse and pedagogical sensitivity,

the book explores the essence of education and its impact on human development.

The event was a real incursion into the world of knowledge and introspection. After discussions and messages

of admiration addressed to Professor Ion Gagim, those present were able to enjoy an autograph session.
