The Department of Exact and Engineering Sciences of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova invites you to the Scientific Conference “Nanotechnologies Change the World”, during which Academician Ion Tighineanu, President of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova and honorary member of the Romanian Academy, will give a lecture.
The scientific event will take place on March 24, 2025, at 14:00, in the Azurie Hall of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova (1 Stefan cel Mare si Sfânt Blvd.).
The live-stream will be provided by the Institute for the Development of the Information Society and the Privesc.eu.
The event will reflect the rise of nanotechnologies on a global scale in the 21st century, starting with the launch of the first nanotechnology initiative in the US by President Bill Clinton. The contributions to the development of this field of scientists from the Republic of Moldova, made under the leadership of Acad. Ion Tighineanu, will also be revealed. Among the resonant successes will be mentioned the surface charge lithography and electrodeposition by jumps, as well as a series of innovative nanomaterials, among which Aerogalnite stands out – the first artificial material with dual hydrophilic/hydrophobic properties, which simultaneously attracts and repels water and possesses an enormous potential for use in practice.
Full members, corresponding members, designated members of the Science Departments, scientific researchers, teachers, scientists and culture are invited to the event.
