Robert Williams: “Moldova could be the surprise.”

Surprises in the case of Moldova must be fueled not only by the efforts of the authorities but also by those of the population.

Integration into the European Union brings about institutional changes and other policies that the population does not view favorably due to tradition; however, the population desires European prosperity. How is it possible to combine the European style with the Moldovan one?

The need for financial infusion exceeds the country’s production and reconstruction capacity.

Moldova has the scientific and human resources to make a scientific contribution and to be its own contributor to the development of the country and the partnership with international institutions. Now the questions need answers… how can the nation’s success be combined in the face of changes and challenges.

Politics is facing the challenge of being alone against everyone. Have more and more people understood that integration is a solution or is neutrality still good in the face of doubts and discontent towards the EU?

Neighbors have influence and support or limited influence because it should be that way, but the whole context is unfavorable.

It takes wisdom, and only Moldovans know what is best for their country and themselves.
