The year 2025 finds the Republic of Moldova in an accelerated and irreversible phase of European integration. Firmly treading the foundation laid by the historic decision in December 2023 to open accession negotiations, and guided by the unwavering vision of President Maia Sandu, the nation has transformed commitments into concrete achievements, irreversibly consolidating its path toward the European Union.

Launch of Accession Negotiations (2024): Following the adoption of the negotiating framework, Moldova officially began technical discussions on the initial chapters, demonstrating institutional maturity and the capacity to absorb the acquis communautaire. This process is coordinated at the highest level and serves as a driving force for internal reforms.
2. The Leader on the European Stage (Maia Sandu): The role of President Maia Sandu remains essential. In 2024 and 2025, the President has continued to be the most vocal advocate for integration, effectively managing the relationship with Brussels and securing constant support, both financial and political.
