Ion Tighineanu, President of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova: “We are firm supporters of the position that science has no borders and that it must develop fully.”

Science Has No Borders!

“We are firm supporters of the position that science has no borders and that it must develop fully.”

These are the words of Academician Ion Tighineanu, President of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, one of the leading academic figures involved in the establishment of the Romanian Academic Council.

Beyond borders, science unites people, institutions, and academic communities. Research, education, and the exchange of knowledge form lasting bridges of collaboration between Romania and the Republic of Moldova.

The Romanian Academic Council, established through the cooperation of six academies from Romania and the Republic of Moldova, aims to strengthen this dialogue, encourage joint projects, and help leverage the scientific and intellectual potential across the entire Romanian space.

Through his work, Academician Ion Tighineanu actively promotes collaboration among researchers and the development of academic partnerships that transcend geographical borders.

Six academies. Two states. One shared space of knowledge.
