The Su-30SM fighter of the Russian Navy aviation will be demonstrated at MAKS-2015 for the first time.

Pilots of naval aviation and Irkut corporation test-pilots will demonstrate unique capabilities of the multidimensional fighter.

The jet will be painted in traditional dark grey and camouflage colours with the St. Andrew’s flag.

The fighter is capable to use modern and advanced high-accuracy air-to-air and air-to-surface armament.

According to the Chief of the Russian Navy aviation Hero of Russia Major General Igor Kozhin, equipping the forces with Su-30SM fighters provides an opportunity to increase capabilities of the Russian Navy aviation groups.

“Long flight range, in-flight refueling capability, engaging aerial, surface and ground targets with high accuracy weapon — are the characteristics of the Su-30SM fighter, which is needed in the Russian Navy aviation,” said Major General Igor Kozhin.
