The Western MD tank crews started performing one of the most complex training elements — water obstacle crossing while driving the tank under water.

While driving under water the crew has no vision capability. The exercises are held in the Western MD training center in Leningrad region.

The servicemen are passing a 120-meter wide and 3-meter deep water obstacle driving T-72B3 tanks. The tank are under water more than 1,5 minutes.

These skills increase mobile capabilities of tank units and provide an opportunity to conduct long-distance marching without involving units of other branches and services
