Joint Russian-Chinese exercise Naval Interaction-2015

The joint Russian-Chinese exercise Naval Interaction-2015 is held in the Far Eastern region of the Russian Federation on August 21-28.

In total, 22 ships and support vessels, up to 20 aircraft, more than 500 servicemen and 40 pieces of armament and military hardware are involved in the exercise.

Deputy Navy Commander-in-Chief Vice Admiral Alexander Fedotenkov and Deputy Navy Commander-in-Chief Rear Admiral Van Khai are heading the exercise leadership. The joint staff of the exercise is located in Vladivostok.

In the course of the exercise, the servicemen are to improve cooperation in sabotage, submarine, air and ship defence performing combat firing at surface underwater and aerial targets.

The joint amphibious landing operation at the Klerk range will be the highest point of the exercise. The operation will take place at the territory of the Russian Federation for the first time.

The exercise will be finished on August 28 with summing up procedure, naval parade and departure ceremony held in the strait of Peter the Great.
