Military parades devoted to the 70th anniversary of the World War II end to be held in Chita and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk for the first time

Military parades devoted to the 70th anniversary of the World War II end are to be held in Chita and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk for the first time. The events will take place at the central squares of the cities on September 2 at 10:00.

In total, the military parade in Chita will involve 1336 servicemen, including 966 ones from the Eastern MD. Military hardware of the Great Patriotic War, such as T-34 tanks and Su-100 self-propelled artillery system, will participate in the parade.

Moreover, there will be demonstrated modern combat hardware, including T-71B1 tanks, BMP-2 IFVs, BTR-80 APCs, MSTA-B self-propelled howitzers and others. In total, 56 pieces of military hardware will participate in the Chita military parade.

Visitors of the parade will have an opportunity to watch a flypast performed by Su-30, Su-25, Mi-24 and Mi-8 aircraft.

More than 700 servicemen of the Eastern MD and other security agencies will perform solemn marching during the parade in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. In total, 23 pieces of military hardware will be demonstrated at the event.

The parade will be finished with a flypast with participation of Su-35S, Su-27SM, Su-24M2, Su-25SM, and Mi-8 aircraft.
