Southern MD flamethrower operators using high-power thermobaric rounds during firing training

The Southern MD NBC protection units are training at the Prodboi range in Volgograd region.

In the course of the training, the servicemen practiced conducting NBC reconnaissance. The event is headed by the Chief of the Southern MD NBC protection troops Major General Igor Yemelyanov.

At the final stage of the training, the specialists launched about 50 220mm rockets equipped with thermobaric warhead operating the Buratino heavy flamethrowing system and performed firing with Shmel reactive portable flamethrower.

More than 1,500 servicemen of the NBC protection troops took part in the field training.
