Russian Minister of Defence signed agreements on cooperation with R&D organizations of Russia

Today the Russian Minister of Defence General of the Army Sergei Shoigu signed agreements on cooperation with the Russian Science Academy, the Federal Agency of Scientific Organizations and the Russian Foundation of Fundamental Research.

At the signing ceremony, General of the Army Sergei Shoigu claimed that cooperation between the Russian Military Department and R&D institutions would give the opportunity to effectively modernize the system of armament.

General of the Army Sergei Shoigu said that that day under the conditions of instable international situation it was very important to modernize effectively the Russian system of armament. He also expressed his hope that the implementation of the signed documents would boost transition from the fundamental researches to the applied ones, which would give the opportunity to create new armament and military equipment.

Russian Minister of Defence emphasized that the signing of the agreements was another step towards the future of the Russian armament system.
