GDYNIA, October 7 (ChinaMil) — The taskforce 152 of the Chinese PLA Navy arrived at the Port of Gdynia on the morning of October 7, the 66th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Poland, for a five-day goodwill visit and also its first visit to Poland.
At 08:00, the corvette KASZUB of the Polish Navy waited off the waters of Hel peninsula, and the Chinese naval taskforce arrived at the Port of Gdynia at 10:00 amid the warm welcome of the leader of the Polish Navy, Chinese Ambassador to Poland Xu Jian, and representatives from Chinese-funded organizations, overseas Chinese and students.
During the visit to Poland, the Chinese naval taskforce 152 will hold a series of activities including a warship open day and a deck reception, and the two navies will have a rowing match, a friendly football match, and the exchange of anti-terrorism experiences. Wang Jianxun, commander of the naval taskforce 152, will meet with commander of the operation center of the Polish Navy, mayor of Gdynia and other military and civilian officials, and will lay a wreath at the Monument to Defenders of the Battle of Westerplatte on behalf of the taskforce.
Poland is the sixth leg in the global voyage of the Chinese naval taskforce 152, before which it had already successfully visited Sudan, Egypt, Denmark, Finland and Sweden.
