On October 7, during his visit to Uzbekistan, Deputy Defence Minister Anatoly Antonov met the Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country Abdulaziz Komilov.
In the course of the negotiations, they discussed the issues of regional and global security, consolidation of efforts against the modern challenges and threats.
Anatoly Antonov emphasized that the military and technical cooperation with Uzbekistan was an important factor of maintaining stability in the region.
Anatoly Antonov mentioned that coordinated actions in the military field would create favourable conditions for security, peace and tranquility in the Central Asia.
Moreover, Anatoly Antonov explained upon the request of Abdulaziz Komilov the objectives and the character of the military operation in Syria conducted by the Russian Armed Forces.
