NBC formation of the Western MD to be re-equipped with newest RKhM-6 reconnaissance vehicles

In the beginning of 2016, the Separate NBC Brigade of the Western MD located in the Kursk Region will have been re-equipped with the newest NBC reconnaissance vehicles RKhM-6.

The vehicle is built on the basis of BTR-80 APC and constitutes an NBC reconnaissance system with express laboratory.

These machines are fitted with equipment, which allows to transmit the results of NBC reconnaissance to the HQ in an automated mode, that gives an opportunity to made decisions faster.

The servicemen can detect contaminated areas in a minute at an area of over 10 sq.km. All the measurements are carried out without leaving the vehicle.

RKhM is also fitted with satellite navigation system that automatically defines the current coordinates.

At the present time, the servicemen of the brigade are passing transition trainings for the new equipment.
