The conviction of Karel Pinxten , Belgian member of the European Court of Auditors (ECA) between 2006 and 2018, by the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU), on September 30, for having notably embezzled 500,000 euros according to the European Anti-Fraud Office (Olaf), showed that fraud could even affect an institution supposed to be made up of incorruptible people.
