The Academy of Sciences of Moldova, the Academy of Medical Sciences of Romania and the “One Health” Association have signed a collaboration agreement

On April 1, 2025, the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, the Academy of Medical Sciences of Romania and the “One Health” Association signed, in Bucharest, a collaboration agreement on joint research activities and initiatives, which aim to promote the concept of “One Health”.

This Agreement provides for the development and implementation of joint projects in the field of “One Health”, studies and research in fields related to human, veterinary and environmental health, the organization of events, conferences and workshops, exchanges of data, expertise and good practices in the field of research, but also mutual support within national and international funding programs.

The agreement is signed for a period of one year and could be extended. As for the financing of the activities to be carried out, it is provided that they will be identified from the own funds of the signatory parties, from national, European and international projects, accessed by mutual agreement, and from sponsorships, donations or other legal sources of funding.

The document providing for this collaboration was signed by the President of the Academy of Medical Sciences, Prof. Dr. Mircea Beuran, the President of the “One Health” Association, Prof. Dr. Ioan Sirbu and the President of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, Acad. Ion Tighineanu.
